Health and Safety Officer

ROLE:
The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of environmental health and safety on site including document review and carry out weekly audits, toolbox talks, inspections, etc.
Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel & site safety.
Duties will involve but not limited to the following:

Support the development with Senior Management of the OHS policies and procedures.

Advise and instruct on various safety related topics - noise levels, use of machinery, site safety documents, etc.

Create and conduct Risk Assessment Method Statement for new and on-going projects.

Review and update policies and measures according to legislation
-
Inspect job sites and the work of operatives to identify risks and non-conformity - not using PPE, etc.
-
Oversee installations, maintenance and disposal of substances, equipment, etc.
-
Stop any unsafe procedures or acts that seem dangerous or unhealthy.

Prepare reports and documents for management and directors.
-
Work efficiently and effectively with Project and Site Management.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Degree Qualification.
-
Graduate - 3 Years experience.

Previous construction experience / college placement.
-
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
-
A strong motivational attitude.
-
